Groenkloof bowls has in the past inadvertently used the name Ultimate Bowls for our annual competition, not realizing that the term ULTIMATE BOWLS is a registered Trade Mark of the Ultimate Bowls organization in Australia. This overstep was brought to our attention and we have apologised to them (see below) and changed the name of our competition to Absolute Bowls Competition (ABC).
Our apology stated: We wish to apologise for our inadvertent use of the name Ultimate Bowls Championship in connection with our forthcoming bowls competition. The Groenkloof Bowling Club acknowledges your rights in the Ultimate Bowls name and confirms that it was never our intention to imply any association, endorsement, or licensing relationship with your organisation.
